The company will also be giving existing clients a free upgrade to 2GB of RAM. The resulting hardware upgrades will allow SingleHop's customer's servers to run at levels exceeding industry standards.

SingleHop announced the RAM upgrade just days after the launch of their new first-of-its-kind web portal, LEAP webtop. LEAP offers clients the ability to manage their dedicated servers in a desktop-style interface, directly from their browser. The LEAP webtop is yet another example of SingleHop's commitment to providing the most sophisticated and robust servers in the market, allowing customers to focus on running their businesses in a stress free technology environment.
To take part in the RAM upgrade offer, existing SingleHop customers will have to schedule their upgrade by logging into their LEAP control panel and clicking on the "RAM Upgrade Offer" icon.

News: Web Hosting Virtualization Application, Integrates With Microsoft Hyper-V

To run native Solaris/SPARC software on Windows Server 2008 requires deployment of a guest operating system such as Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 in a Hyper-V virtual machine, with Transitive's QuickTransit 1.5 for Solaris/SPARC-to-Linux/x86-64. A broad range of Solaris/SPARC executable files can then be run within that virtual machine, and these applications can interoperate with native Windows applications running on the same server.
