We here at TechPad Agency have known Thomas for many years and interacted with him from the early stages. We have found Thomas to be a honest and a true believer in support with his hosting customers. With his background and sucess in buiding NetworkEleven, NetworkRedux has a bright future that customers will benift for years to come. When we talked to Thomas this January here is what he had to say:
Tell us a little about your background Thomas. What industry experience you have? And what did you do before NetworkRedux / Networkeleven?
Well versed in server management, I co-founded Network Eleven, LLC (http://www.networkeleven.com) with Steven Zmrhal in January of 2002. Over the course of three years we grew to managing 30+ Linux servers and 5000+ hosts.
Differences of opinion brewed as to the course of Network Eleven. As a result, I sold my interest to the remaining partner, and began what is today known as Network Redux (http://www.networkredux.com).
Noting various changes in the industry, such as the under $10 1GB plans becoming commonplace, Network Redux was built to withstanding current and future trends. Providing tier-1 services and 1GB plans for under $6 became our goal, and the goal has since been met.
What what has led to your success in the hosting industry?
Historically we have been successful for premising our services on the best of all industries:
- Tier-1 Network Connectivity
- Dell PowerEdge Servers
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Enabling these features in a budget environment has allowed us to maintain consistent growth throughout the course of our ventures.
Tell our readers about NetworkRedux, your products and services.
Network Redux’s two primary focuses are the following:
Shared Hosting - $5.95/month - 1GB Disk Space
Unbranded Reseller Hosting - $19.95/month – 5GB Disk Space, Unlimited Domains
Our services include a nearly endless supply of scripts and statistical managers, from the Fantastico script manager to interactive webDAV support.
You recently made some changes to your packages – what did you see in the marketplace that required these changes?
Disk space is less expensive, including SCSI and SATA arrays. This has allowed for servers to be built with much larger RAID capacities, allowing us to start our plans at 1GB.
Do you have any other changes or additions to your service for 2005?
There will be greater emphasis on our integrated webDAV support, and how it will enable clients a more versatile remote storage solution.
We will also be unveiling our low-cost managed dedicated server lineup – managed servers at wholesale prices.
Do you currently have your own datacenter and where are they located?
Our Dell infrastructure, including our Dell 42U cabinets are housed in Time Warner Telecom’s Portland, Oregon facilities.
As far as support goes, do you offer true 27/7/365 support with live technicians?
Yes we do – it is offered via email and online helpdesk.
Can you tell us more about these support mechanisms and to what lengths will you go to satisfy customer’s needs?
We will go to whatever lengths necessary to satisfy a client. This includes transferring dozens of a reseller’s domain list from his previous hosting provider; configuring and installing complex scripts or applications for a client; custom scripting and cronning for clients in need of automation, etc.
The hosting industry has changed a lot in the last year, what predictions do you foresee for this coming year?
Additional percentile increases in host registrations. The hosting industry is still in an infantile stage, and it is still an open market where the best and most reliable provider will succeed, regardless of size and capacity.
Lastly, what is your favorite website and the most recent book you have read?
My favorite site is apple.com. The most recent book I have finished is The Da Vinci Code.
Thank you for the opportunity to get Network Redux out in the community. Websitehostdirectory.com has been an incredible asset in our marketing and advertising strategies.
As you can see with a combination of experience, technical knowledge and the drive to help even the smallest customer NetworkRedux would be a great choice for anyone that wants to be hosted with a comapny that cares.
