News: Search Engine Developed for Product-Specific Industry
Portland, Oregon - (Website Hosting Directory) - December 15, 2008 - A new search engine, developed specificially for searching the web's best knife, sword and blade sites, has been released by OnlyKnives.com, a leading blade website, with the BladeSearch tool.
Ken Aversano of OnlyKnives noted, ''Specialized search engines work extremely well for niche products such as blades. The market is very disjointed, so it's not always to find what you're looking for. BladeSearch is an excellent tool for solving that problem.''
BladeSearch is designed to make researching and finding blades of all kind faster than with a generalized search engine.
Using Google technology, BladeSearch searches the entire internet but focuses results on a hand-selected list of the best blade websites and blogs. This specialized focus allows BladeSearch to provide only high-quality results while filtering out irrelevant sites and pages.
Leading industry websites included in BladeSearch results include discussion forums such as KnifeForums.com, BladeForums.com and Sword Forum International, retailers such as eBladeStore.com and Korin.com, as well as many others. Site owners who wish to have their sites included in BladeSearch should contact OnlyKnives.com.
Blade styles found in BladeSearch include sporting knives -- such as pocket knives, survival knives and tactical knives -- kitchen knives, martial arts blades, swords and razors.
Specialized search engines such as OnlyKnives' BladeSearch are part of an emerging movement toward topic-specific search. These search engines provide an improved search experience by leveraging human expertise coupled with Google's industry-leading search technology.
OnlyKnives is a leading online portal for blades of all type. Kitchen knives, pocket knives, swords and sporting knives are among OnlyKnives' featured blades. OnlyKnives has been providing lively reviews and discussion of blades and industry news since 2007.

News: Search Engine for Malaware, Developed by Trusteer
New York, New York - (Website Hosting Directory) - December 11, 2008 -
A free malware search engine for financial institutions, has been developed by Trusteer, with an attack trace tool, providing visibility into leading trojans and threats aimed at specific websites.
Trusteer, the customer protection company for online businesses, today announced the availability of a free malware search tool that provides financial institutions with visibility into web attacks targeting their websites. The Trusteer Attack Trace search engine, available at, allows IT professionals to submit their organization's web address and see a list of malware configuration files that are designed to commit fraud against their brand.
By typing their URL address into the Attack Trace search engine, users get a glimpse into the cross section of malware that is specifically aimed at their website and what the code is written to accomplish. The Trusteer Attack Trace search engine searches for leading Trojans and other attack codes including Torpig/Sinowal, WSNPOEM, and NetHell. A more comprehensive version of the Attack Trace engine is available at no cost by completing a short registration form at www.trusteer.com.
The Attack Trace search engine was developed and is constantly updated by Trusteer's research organization (www.trusteer.com/research), which is led by noted web security researcher Amit Klein. Klein is credited with discovering and reporting numerous DNS vulnerabilities.
Amit Klein, CTO of Trusteer and head of the company's research organization remarked, ''The amount and sophistication of malware targeting financial websites is growing at an exponential rate. The Attack Trace tool gives security professionals a view into the type and number of crimeware files that are directly attacking their website and users. It provides a barometer of web threats and quantifiable evidence for making IT security investments.''
Trusteer enables online businesses to establish a secure communication tunnel with their customers over the Internet that stretches from user's keyboard into the company's website. Trusteer's flagship product, Rapport, allows online banks, brokerages, and retailers to protect their customers from identity theft and financial fraud. Unlike conventional approaches to web security, Rapport protects users' confidential information even if their computer is infected with malware including Trojans and keyloggers, or is victimized by pharming, phishing attacks. Trusteer is a privately held corporation led by former executives from Cyota/RSA Security, Imperva, and NetScreen/Juniper.
